The Carl Martin TremOvibe is an analog two in one effect pedal consisting of a tremolo and a real vibrato, both with independent sets of speed and depth controls. The tremolo effect works like a change in volume. The vibrato, which works as a change in tone pitch modulation, is carefully designed to imitate the sound of a real tube vibrato. Featuring two switches, The on switch allows you to engage or bypass the unit. The select switch allows you to switch between Tremolo and Vibrato. One day while Carl was adding some compression to a guitar track in his studio, he thought, why hasn’t anyone built a small opto-compressor for guitarists? An optical compressor performs gain reduction control via a light source into a photo sensitive cell... as the light source gets brighter, the photo sensitive cell sends a signal to reduce dynamic range, or what becomes a compressed signal. Welcome to the Vintage Opto-Compressor….an old-school compressor from the days where colouring was an important factor to the sound. The four controls (from left to right) are the Gain, which controls the ‘pre-glow’ of the optical circuit (the more you turn this up, the fatter the sound); Level, which controls the overall volume of the compressor; Compression, which controls how hard or soft the compression is, and the Attack control which takes the signal from transparent to outright total squeeze. A short time with this compressor will allow you to find some of those classic guitar sounds which may somehow have escaped you before. Again, like all the Vintage pedals, the Opto-Compressor comes in a solid diecast housing with cool chicken-head knobs, CM colour and graphics and a 9v battery compartment. Due to the nature of compressors, we highly recommend a regulated power supply (like the CM Big John or CM PowerJack) or a large stock of batteries….

The Carl Martin Combinator 2 was designed and developed in response to many requests from guitar players who use lots of effects pedals, but are frustrated by having to press several footswitches in order to turn multiple pedals on and off. The Combinator 2 is a non-midi programmable effects switching system that handles up to eight pedals. Each pedal is connected to one of eight individual effects loops (two with stereo returns), and then assigned to one or more of 18 groups. Pushing the program switch for a group simultaneously engages all of the pedals assigned to it. So if, say, you have a fuzz, a wah, and a chorus assigned to program switch 1, pressing that switch will turn them all on or off. The Combinator 2 features 18 programs,- tuner output,- master mute,- three external switches on separate jack output's. Programming is a snap. Just select bank and press one of the program buttons, press the soft buttons corresponding to the pedals you want to include, press store, and you're done. The Combinator 2 also features a power supply, providing eight individual 9-volt taps, one for each pedal.

The KILLSWITCH Momentary Line Selector is a new, utilitarian Electro-Harmonix pedal. In Kill Mode, the KILLSWITCH can be used to provide instant muting. It can also be used to create interesting stutter effects by turning the instrument's signal abruptly on and off for hard rhythmic in/out transitions.

In Line Selector Mode, the scope of the pedal's use is only limited by the player's creative vision. It can, for example, be used to quickly switch in the effects loop, introducing a burst of distortion, analog delay induced feedback or ring modulation. It can also be tapped in time with what is being played to bring effects in and out of the signal path rhythmically. This is especially interesting when one of those effects is a delay with tap tempo. The many and varied uses of this pedal are an open invitation for the modern player who wishes to explore the world of unorthodox sound creation and manipulation.

Carl Martin Contour Boost is especially designed to boost up, and change the sound contour of electric guitarbass. The Contour Boost circuitry is of phase linear design, using high quality components. This ensures sonic clarity and midrange emphasis which is so important for electric guitar. The Contour Boost is designed as a High Pass low cut and Low Pass high cut filter, with a fixed X-over frequency at 440Hz. The High Pass filter operates from 65Hz to 440Hz, and the Low Pass filter from 440Hz to 8kHz. Both filters are individually sweepable, with a boost range of up to 12dB. With these two filters it is possible to change the sound contour in any way your creativity allows you. The Carl Martin Contour Boost has a built in, regulated -12V power supply which enables us to design circuitry of the highest quality with maximum headroom. Please note that when using this unit with other effect devices, always place the Contour Boost after any distortion units, otherwise the distortion unit will limit what you can achieve with the Contour Boost.

The function of a wah pedal is to manually by way of a rocker control modulate your guitars signal. Plug your guitar into the wah input right and then to other pedals, or your amp output left. The 2 Wah is powered either by a 9v battery or a regulated 9v power supply we always recommend the Carl Martin Big John Power Supply. By stepping on the front of the rocker, you engage the on-off switch, and by stepping on the back of the rocker you engage the Mode switch. Select position 1, 2, or 3 in both High and Low Modes, engage the effect and fine-tune the attack of this effect by adjusting the Attack knob also on the front of the 2 Wah. The green Low and red High LEDs indicate which Mode you are in, with Low being typically for lead work, and High being used more often for rhythm work.
